Rotary Club for Environmental Protection

Rotary is committed to the environment as our irreplaceable common property.

We are committed to supporting activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources, advance environmental sustainability, and promote harmony between people and the environment. We empower communities to access grants and other resources and inspire local solutions and innovation to address the root causes of climate change and environmental degradation.

Already established but still being considered

Although there are already Rotary Clubs on the topics of sustainability and environmental protection in German-speaking countries, experience from around the world shows that this topic has enormous potential. First, a few words about an existing club: the Rotary Club Passport ECO Planet D1900 is one of the first themed clubs in German-speaking countries. In terms of the club model, it is a Passport Club. This club model describes a club that allows members to attend meetings in other clubs frequently, as long as they attend a certain number of meetings in their own club each year. Passport Clubs are attractive to people who travel frequently, or people who like to try out different club experiences and meet lots of new people. More information can be found here:

Then a satellite club is a good option. You can find out more here (please click). If you are a larger group of at least 25 people, you can set up your own club.
