Rotary Club for Disease Prevention and Treatment
Good healthcare should be a human right – but 400 million people do not even have access to the most basic medical services. We want to change that.
Diseases plague millions of people. That’s why prevention and prophylaxis are so important. And even if an illness has occurred, there is often relatively quick and simple help available, for example through medication. This is why the fight against disease is particularly important to us. Whether it’s a large-scale campaign or a small local initiative, we take care of the people who need help. To this end, we build temporary clinics and set up blood donation centers and training facilities. We design and build the infrastructure to provide healthcare in remote regions. And we work with doctors, patients and government agencies to find the best and most practical solution. Rotary members are fighting malaria, HIV/AIDS, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, diabetes and polio. Hundreds of projects are taking place around the world at any given time.
We want to found a German-speaking club on this topic.

Here you can find more information about Rotary’s focus on disease prevention and treatment (please click).
